Frequently asked questions

Do I need an account to shorten a link?

No. You can create a short link without signing in. Anonymous and legacy links cannot be claimed or managed later.

Can I change a destination later?

Yes, for links you created while signed in. Open My Links to edit the destination, expiration, or status.

What happens when a link is disabled or expires?

It stops redirecting and shows an unavailable page. Re-enable an owned link from My Links if it has not expired.

Can I use a QR code?

Yes. After creating a link—or from My Links—open the QR code and download a PNG.
